Citi CEO Vikram Pandit Loses Nickname

No longer can I refer to the Citigroup CEO as Vikram "The One-Dollar" Pandit.

Recently, it was revealed that Pandit, who in mid-2009 had agreed to be paid $1/year until Citi returns to profitabity, will be making $1,750,000 in salary this year.

Indeed, Pandit's comp number is a pretty cool figure. But, to be sure, it's nowhere near as cool as this one: $1,000,000,000 (that is, one billion dollars -- the amount that hedge fund investor John Paulson made last year just off his investment in the firm run by the CEO Formerly Known As The One-Dollar Pandit).
