Vault's Annual Diversity Survey results to release tomorrow; Northern Trust names CSR Head

Northern Trust announced a new executive position reporting directly to CEO Frederick Waddell: Head of Corporate Social Responsibility. Connie Lindsey, who has served in several different positions in the CSR field, most recently was EVP and Segment Head in the Public Entities and Institution division with Northern Trust. She is also the highest ranking volunteer for the National Board of Girl Scouts of the USA as a Director. At Northern Trust, she will be responsible for crafting and leading the bank's corporate social responsibility strategies and initiatives.

The financial services company has been in the news lately for their increased efforts in CSR. They featured as "Most Admired Company" by Fortune and was named "100 Best Corporate Citizens" by noted CSR publication, CRO Magazine.

Northern Trust also features in Vault's Annual Diversity Survey this year for the first time. Stay tuned for the latest news on progress made by employers conscious of their social responsibility and diversity initiatives as we release our 2009 survey results tomorrow!
