There's no such thing as work/life balance ... or so says Jack Welch

WSJ.com posted an article early this morning stemming from a Jack Welch comment made at the Society for Human Resource Management's annual conference last month. His "there is no such thing as work/life balance" comment has, as expected, generated a flurry of comments on the site. He went on to say that women have to make choices, the choice between family and the quest for the corner office ... and that choices have consequences.

While there will always be two sides to his argument, as the WSJ article  goes on to point out, some women today are managing both successfully. As our readers, you manage this balance on a day-to-day basis. Write to us and tell us whether Mr. Welch's statement has a basis or smacks of 19th century patronizing.
