Event Alert: Asian MBA Leadership Conference and Career Fair

Connect. Engage. Inspire. A highly anticipatedleadership conference begins tomorrow in New York City, aimed at the AsianAmerican community of MBA students, business school alumni and professionals. Thesecond annual Asian MBA Leadership Conference and Career Fair will be held overthe next three days, featuring numerous panelists, keynotes and a full daycareer fair, a testament to the success of last year's inaugural event.

There are several reasons why this conferenceshould be on your career management radar. Whether you're looking for a newjob, thinking of transitioning into a new career field or heading to businessschool next year, the forum promises to provide perspectives, advice and facetime with some of the most respected names in corporate America and academia.

Spread over two-and-a-half days, Day 1 will cover akeynote speech by Anju Bhargava, a member of President Obama's Advisory Councilon Faith Based Initiatives & Neighborhood Partnerships. Day 2 will host severalpanels and professional workshops aimed at tackling relevant issues in today's diverseworkplace. Some of these include:

--Leveraging Cultural Values in Business

Finally, the event culminates with a full daycareer fair, complete with resume critiquing services, and workshops attackingquestions like how to penetrate US corporate markets as an internationalstudent, essential networking skills, and how to use technology to bridge theperformance gap.

The latter half of the day will featureindustry-specific networking sessions for candidates interested in IT, thefinancial and insurance industry, or the healthcare and consumer goods sectors.
