Event Alert: Accredited Sustainability (CSR) Practitioner Workshop

 CSR

If you are looking for a broad overview of CSR, the Center for Sustainability & Excellence's (CSE) workshop next week must be on your radar. I attended one of their workshops last year, returning not only as a certified CSR practitioner but an in-depth look at the many elements of corporate social responsibility.

The workshop, while conducted by CSE's founder and CEO Nikos Avlonas, is approved by the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA). Their workshops always attract a diverse community of professionals, for example, my session included representatives from consulting firms, consumer products, the legal industry, policy regulation, academia, scientists as well as HR specialists.

Besides theoretical concepts and key guidelines, the forum also gives you an opportunity to network with other CSR-minded professionals. This year, the CSE is following up the workshop with a free roundtable to discuss sustainability and green marketing. The panel will feature Avlonas as well as Senior Director of SB NOW John Friedman. The agenda: Green Marketing vs. Green Washing: Even good intentions in marketing are being met with lawsuits and regulatory fines.

For more information on registering for the workshop, visit Accredited Sustainability (CSR) Practitioner Workshop. Details on the panel can be found at CSE's website.
