As Paul Laudicina, managing officer and chairman of the board for A.T. Kearney, puts it, "[Founder] Tom Kearney believed then, as we do today, that the quality of the insight we provide clients is likely to be enhanced if we have the differing perspectives that come from people with very different backgrounds and experiences." A.T. Kearney has made diversity initiatives an integral principle of the firm, and considers attention to the issue an "essential rightness." Among the efforts the firm puts forth, which helped secure its place among the firms Consulting magazine honors this month as exhibiting outstanding commitment to diversity, are its internal networking groups, which aim to provide a sense of community for groups including African-Americans, East Asians, South Asians and Hispanics GLBTs and women.

Other firms honored by the publication are Deloitte, KPMG, Sapient and The Mpower Group.
