The folks at Top-Consultant today released preliminary results of a survey that polled consulting recruiters on their hiring plans in 2011. For consulting jobseekers, the results are a welcome sight. "Hiring will undoubtedly accelerate over the coming months," the company said, referencing its finding that a whopping 70 percent of consulting recruiters plan to hire more employees in 2011 than they did in 2010.

Hiring is up across the board in the industry; Top-Consultant's findings provide further evidence that 2011 will be a banner year for consulting firms. Also, with the likes of Deloitte and KPMG announcing their extraordinarily grandiose hiring plans, it's nice to hear that recruiters on the ground are finally starting to reach out to candidates. Top-Consultant, for one, has "been blown away by the amount of recruiting taking place" on the website's unique and comprehensive consultants-only jobs board.

Top-Consultant will release the full results of its consulting recruiters survey in March. Stay tuned.
